ABOUT TEC
TEC members receive training on equipment operation, staging construction, stage safety, and production role responsibilities and tasks through on-the-job training opportunities and dedicated "in-service" training days. The SFS performing arts venues typically host no less than six (6) events per week throughout the entire school year, thereby giving students opportunities to gain experience every day of the week if they choose. All TEC members are expected to attend a minimum of one (1) "crew session" a week and work on the run crew for a minimum of five (5) events per semester. Running crews are filled through a first-come, first-serve crew-call system and students sign contracts for longer production cycles. Day-to-day activities may include some or all of the following tasks:
Light focusing Light programming Sound equipment setup Video equipment setup
Media (video/graphics) content creation Event staging design Rigging (lighting & staging)
Staging setup Set construction Set painting
And much, much more!
